This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with center-line discharge for air venting and integrally cast mounting feet. The hydraulic assembly comprises a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3, paired with a stainless steel shaft and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Engineered with a dry shaft design, the assembly prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, providing a 125 PSI pressure rating without a wear ring. The bearing housing incorporates sealed-for-life ball bearings to support fluid movement.
The pump operates with a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 3450 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and runs on 380-460V / 3PH power, achieving a DOE PEI of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
