This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction connection and a 2" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit uses a 9-1/2" nominal diameter stainless steel impeller housed within a cast iron casing. It incorporates a dry shaft design that utilizes a stainless steel shaft and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal assembly consists of a silicon-carbide seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation in temperatures up to 250°F. The casing includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections and supports the use of seal flush lines for clean water applications.
The pump is configured with a 5 HP Baldor TEFC motor mounted on a 184 T frame, operating at 1750 RPM. Power input is 230-460/60/3 PH, utilizing an across-the-line starting configuration. The unit is mounted on a welded base that includes an integrated drip pan and a Woods coupler protected by a standard coupler guard. This assembly includes AEGIS shaft grounding to manage electrical currents. The equipment meets NEMA standards and has a PEI value of 0.86.
