This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 3" suction port and a 2-1/2" discharge port with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump includes a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with a 9-1/2" nominal diameter, and a bronze wear ring. It utilizes a dry shaft design with a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal assembly consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, capable of operating at temperatures up to 250°F. The unit is constructed with flush seal line taps and gauge ports on both the suction and discharge connections.
This unit is configured with a 5 HP, 1750 RPM Baldor premium efficiency motor in a 184T NEMA T-frame with a TEFC enclosure. It operates on 230-460/60/3 power and uses across-the-line starting. The motor incorporates AEGIS shaft grounding and is rated for a 40°C ambient environment. The pump assembly is mounted on a welded structural steel base equipped with an integral drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. A Woods flexible coupler connects the pump to the motor, which utilizes greasable bearings in the bearing frame. This equipment meets NEMA MG1-12.55 standards and has a DOE PEI rating of 0.88.
