This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller, and a bronze shaft sleeve integrated with a stainless steel shaft. It incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the pump shaft. A mechanical seal consisting of ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber components facilitates fluid containment. The assembly is rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI. This pump provides pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections to allow for monitoring of system performance.
The motor operates at 3 HP with premium efficiency and a TEFC enclosure at 1750 RPM, integrated with Aegis shaft grounding, receiving 208V 3PH power, and holding a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
