This close-coupled end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The pump assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the fluid and the shaft, which is protected by a bronze shaft sleeve. Mechanical sealing is managed by a ceramic seat with EPT rubber, supporting operation up to 125 PSI with a wear ring installed within the casing. Pressure tappings are provided on both the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The assembly utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by a 380-460V / 3PH supply, achieving a DOE PEI of 0.48. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
