This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. It incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve positioned over a stainless steel shaft, utilizing a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the shaft and circulating fluid. A mechanical seal constructed with ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber components maintains system integrity at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI. This pump includes gauge ports at both the suction and discharge connections, as well as a drain port located at the bottom of the casing.
Powered by a 25 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor, the assembly operates at 1750 RPM, incorporates Aegis grounding, and receives 380-460V / 3PH power, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
