This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and cover to house a stainless steel NSF61 impeller. The dry shaft design incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve to isolate the shaft from circulating fluid, while the mechanical seal utilizes a Ni-Resist seat half and EPT rubber. Rated for 125 PSI operation, the assembly integrates a wear ring and flush seal line taps to facilitate filter installation. Pressure tappings are present on both the suction and discharge connections for system monitoring.
The motor provides 7.5 HP, premium efficiency, in a TEFC enclosure, operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis Grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.49. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mechanical bypass, main disconnect, 5kA SCCR, drive fusing, and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
