This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. It utilizes a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal assembly comprises a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This unit handles operating pressures up to 125 PSI. Pressure tappings are integrated into the suction and discharge connections. Flush seal line taps allow for filter installation to protect the seal from particles.
The assembly utilizes a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor that operates at 3450 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding, powered by a 200-230V 3PH supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
