This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller to manage fluid flow. The design incorporates a dry shaft construction that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber handles pressure up to 125 PSI. The assembly includes a replaceable bronze wear ring within the volute to maintain hydraulic performance over the lifespan of the equipment.
The unit operates with a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, integrating Aegis grounding for protection against electrical currents on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
