This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, utilizing a dry shaft configuration to eliminate contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A mechanical seal composed of ceramic and EPT materials manages pressure ratings up to 125 PSI and incorporates a wear ring. The pump volute supports center-line discharge and includes pressure tappings for suction and discharge monitoring.
The assembly is powered by a 75 HP premium efficiency ODP motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mech bypass with a main fused disconnect (100kA SCCR) and drive fusing and holds an enclosure NEMA Type 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
