This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction and a 1-1/2" discharge. The unit is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller, and a stainless steel shaft equipped with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The nominal impeller diameter is 6-1/4". It utilizes a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250 °F. The pump assembly connects to the system via ANSI Class 125 flanges. The design includes a dry shaft feature to prevent fluid contact with the shaft during operation.
The pump operates at 3450 RPM and is powered by a 10 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure. The motor is configured for 230-460/60/3 PH power supply and utilizes a NEMA 213 T-frame. The assembly is mounted on a welded base that includes an integral drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. This configuration uses an across-the-line starting option and features AEGIS shaft grounding. The equipment meets NEMA standard requirements and has a DOE PEI value of 0.91.
