This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with an integrated center-line discharge and bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft construction to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft. A bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft assembly, while the mechanical seal comprises ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber components. Rated for 125 PSI, the pump casing includes gauge ports for monitoring pressure at the suction and discharge connections. The hydraulic components are dynamically balanced to provide operation within the system.
The assembly utilizes a 10 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by a 380-460V / 3PH supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
