This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. It incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft assembly. The mechanical seal assembly comprises a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This construction maintains an operational pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring.
The pump operates with a 10 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 3450 RPM, integrating Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.47. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
