This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. It incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The internal mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, providing a pressure rating of 125 PSI. This configuration allows for servicing of the pump components without disturbing the system piping.
The assembly is powered by a 50 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, utilizing a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mechanical bypass, a main disconnect with drive fusing, a 5kA SCCR, and holds an enclosure NEMA Type 3R / IP 64 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
