This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 4" suction and 3" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump uses a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller housed within a cast iron casing. The construction includes a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a bronze wear ring. The mechanical seal assembly consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at 250 °F. The unit employs a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft and includes sealed-for-life ball bearings within the bearing housing.
This pump operates at 1750 RPM and is driven by a 5 HP Baldor ODP motor in a NEMA 184 T frame. The electrical configuration supports a 230-460/60/3 power supply using across the line starting. The motor meets premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55 and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The pump assembly is mounted on a structural welded base that incorporates an integral drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard, utilizing a Woods coupler to connect the pump to the motor. This unit is rated with a DOE PEI of 0.91.
