This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid movement. The assembly integrates a bronze shaft sleeve with a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft. Sealing is managed by a mechanical seal composed of a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. This construction allows the pump to operate at pressures up to 125 PSI without a wear ring.
The motor provides 1.5 HP in a premium efficiency configuration with a TEFC enclosure, operating at 1750 RPM and equipped with Aegis grounding for a 200-230V / 3PH power supply. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
