This end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid transfer. The assembly incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that prevents fluid contact with the internal pump shaft. A mechanical seal, constructed with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber, supports operational integrity. Suction and discharge connections integrate standard pressure tappings for system monitoring. This configuration is rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring.
The pump operates with a 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, utilizing Aegis grounding with a 200-230V, 3PH power supply and a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
