This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a class 30 cast iron casing with centerline discharge and integrated mounting feet. The assembly utilizes a bronze impeller hydraulically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 and fitted to a stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft from circulating fluid through a dry shaft design rated for 125 PSI. Fluid sealing occurs via an EPT and ceramic mechanical seal. Pressure tappings at the suction and discharge ports permit system monitoring, while the bearing housing integrates permanently lubricated, sealed-for-life ball bearings to support continuous operation.
The system utilizes a 25 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, powered by 380-460V 3PH input, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
