This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the pump shaft. A mechanical seal incorporating a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber ensures fluid retention. Pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections are provided, supporting operation at 125 PSI without a wear ring.
The 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 3450 RPM, integrates Aegis grounding, and accepts 200-230V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
