This base-mounted end suction pump consists of a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft construction to prevent circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal utilizes ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber to maintain pressure integrity up to 125 PSI. Dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3, the impeller facilitates hydraulic performance while the center-line discharge configuration allows for positive air venting.
Powered by a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly utilizes Aegis grounding and accepts a 200-230V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
