This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and an integrally cast mounting feet design. The assembly utilizes a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve through an integrated dry shaft design. This configuration maintains a pressure rating of 125 PSI and incorporates a mechanical seal comprising ceramic components and EPT rubber, rated for fluid temperatures up to 250°F. The unit incorporates flush seal line taps to allow for external filtration.
The pump operates with a 75 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, utilizing Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco’s advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mechanical bypass with a main fused disconnect and 5kA SCCR, and holds an enclosure NEMA 3R / IP 64 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
