This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design with a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, which prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber components maintains system integrity at pressure levels up to 125 PSI. The pump casing provides a center-line discharge for air venting and integrates gauge ports at both the suction and discharge connections, along with a drain port at the bottom of the casing.
The assembly utilizes a 20 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding, powered by 200-230V 3PH input with a DOE PEI of 0.46. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
