This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal is utilized to maintain pressure integrity up to 125 PSI. Designed for hydraulic performance, the pump utilizes center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet for structural support.
The pump operates with a 15 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, utilizing Aegis grounding and a 200-230V 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
