This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. It integrates a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, isolating the shaft from circulating fluids to prevent corrosion. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber ensures containment at pressures up to 125 PSI. The unit permits service without disturbing system piping and includes pressure tappings at the suction and discharge ports.
Powered by a 5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly incorporates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, yielding a DOE PEI of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
