This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. It integrates a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and utilizes a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal assembly comprises ceramic and EPT components. This unit maintains a 125 PSI pressure rating and provides pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring. The configuration allows for maintenance of the seal and bearing housing without disturbing connected piping.
The assembly utilizes a 3 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor that operates at 1750 RPM, includes Aegis grounding, and accepts 380-460V 3PH power input, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.45. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
