This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. It utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft, which is covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The assembly integrates a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, providing a pressure rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring. This configuration facilitates maintenance by allowing the pump to be serviced without disturbing the system piping.
Powered by a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly includes Aegis grounding and utilizes a 380-460V, 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
