This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and cover, a stainless steel (NSF61) impeller, and a bronze shaft sleeve. It incorporates a dry shaft design rated for 125 PSI with a wear ring to prevent fluid contact with the pump shaft. A mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber provides fluid containment during operation. Pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections are included, along with flush seal line taps to permit the installation of a filter for protection against particles.
This pump operates with a 7.5 HP, premium efficiency, TEFC motor at 1750 RPM. It integrates Aegis grounding, utilizes 230V, 3PH power, and carries a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mechanical bypass, main disconnect, 5kA SCCR, and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
