This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing with 3" suction and 2-1/2" discharge ANSI Class 125 flanges. It contains a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The unit uses a dry shaft design, eliminating contact between the shaft and circulating fluid. A mechanical seal consists of a silicon-carbide seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for 250 °F. Flush seal line taps and pressure tappings are provided on the suction and discharge connections. The rear pullout design allows for servicing without disturbing system piping.
The unit is equipped with a 5 HP Baldor motor in an ODP enclosure on a 184 JM frame with feet. It operates at 1750 RPM on 230-460V/60/3PH power. The motor meets NEMA standards and MG1-12.55 premium efficiency levels, including AEGIS shaft grounding. Starting is across the line, and the unit maintains a PEI of 0.93. The assembly is rated for a 40 °C ambient temperature. A top center line discharge design assists with self-venting and reduces piping strain.
