This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate a dry shaft design, which prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A mechanical seal constructed with silicon-carbide seat halves and EPT elastomers manages fluid containment at pressures up to 125 PSI. The bearing housing integrates heavy-duty, permanently lubricated, sealed-for-life ball bearings to support continuous operation.
The pump operates on a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 200-230V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
