This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with center-line discharge for air venting and integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly incorporates a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve over a stainless steel shaft. A dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, providing a 125 PSI pressure rating with an included wear ring. The mechanical seal consists of EPT rubber and ceramic components, while flush seal line taps allow for the installation of external filtering. The bearing housing contains permanently lubricated, sealed-for-life ball bearings to support operation.
Powered by a 30 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, this unit integrates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
