This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 5" suction and a 4" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It uses an 11" nominal diameter bronze impeller housed within a cast iron casing. The pump incorporates a stainless steel shaft, a bronze shaft sleeve, and a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber. This assembly is rated for operation at temperatures up to 250°F. The pump casing includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is driven by a 20 HP, 3PH Baldor motor with a TEFC enclosure and NEMA 256 T-frame. The electrical configuration supports 230-460V at 60Hz and uses an across the line starting method. The unit includes AEGIS shaft grounding and meets MG1-12.55 premium efficiency standards with a PEI of 0.97. The pump is mounted on a welded base that includes an integral drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard for the standard Woods coupler. Greasable bearings are utilized within the bearing frame, and the unit is configured for 40°C ambient operating conditions.
