This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft configuration that eliminates contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. A mechanical seal isolates the pumped liquid, consisting of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components. Pressure tappings are located on the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring. The assembly maintains a maximum pressure rating of 125 PSI.
The assembly utilizes a 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
