This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid movement. The dry shaft design prevents contact between the pump shaft and the circulating fluid, while the assembly incorporates a slip-on bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate maintenance. For seal integrity, the mechanical construction uses a ceramic seat and an EPT rubber seal. This configuration operates at 125 PSI without a wear ring and includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections to aid in system monitoring.
Powering the assembly is a 3 HP premium efficiency PMAC motor with a TEFC enclosure, operating at 1750 RPM, and utilizing Aegis grounding, supplied by 380-460V / 3PH power, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
