This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge for air venting. The internal assembly comprises a bronze impeller paired with a stainless steel shaft and a bronze shaft sleeve. Engineered for fluid management, the unit incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. A mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat with EPT rubber, providing a pressure rating of 125 PSI. The bearing frame houses permanently lubricated, sealed-for-life ball bearings that support field maintenance without disturbing piping connections.
The system is powered by a 30 HP premium efficiency motor with a TEFC enclosure, operating at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding, and configured for 380-460V 3PH power, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
