This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing with 2-1/2" suction and 1-1/2" discharge ports utilizing ANSI Class 125 flanges. It incorporates a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve within a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the system fluid and the shaft. The pump utilizes a mechanical seal consisting of a ceramic seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at temperatures up to 250°F. The unit includes flush seal line taps for filter installation and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections. A rear pullout design allows for servicing internal components without disturbing the system piping.
The pump is driven by a 3 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure and a drip cover, configured for 230-460V/60Hz/3PH power supply. The motor operates at 1750 RPM and uses a JM style frame 182 with mounting feet. This assembly complies with NEMA standards, includes AEGIS shaft grounding, and meets MG1-12.55 premium efficiency requirements. The motor uses across-the-line starting and functions in ambient temperatures of 40°C. This unit has a DOE PEI rating of 0.83.
