This end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and integrally cast mounting feet. The internal assembly incorporates a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft covered by a bronze shaft sleeve, utilizing a dry shaft design that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. Mechanical sealing consists of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for operation at 125 PSI. This pump also includes a replaceable wear ring and drilled gauge ports on the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The assembly integrates a 50 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V 3PH input, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
