This base-mounted end suction pump integrates a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge and a dynamically balanced bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For fluid containment, the pump employs a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber, providing an operating pressure rating of 125 PSI.
Powered by a 30 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor, the assembly operates at 1750 RPM, incorporates Aegis grounding, and accepts a 380-460V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
