This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with a center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly incorporates a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3, connected to a stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft through a dry shaft design, which prevents contact with the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal utilizes an EPT rubber component with a ceramic seat, rated for 125 PSI. Pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections allow for gauge installation, and the casing design permits servicing without disruption to system piping.
The system utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH, achieving a DOE PEI of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
