This Taco CI Series close coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing with ANSI Class 125 flanges and a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller. The unit is designed with a 2" suction connection and a 1-1/4" discharge connection. It utilizes a dry shaft design with a replaceable slip-on bronze shaft sleeve to isolate the shaft from the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal consists of a silicon-carbide seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber components, suitable for pumping clean water at temperatures up to 250 °F. The rear pullout design allows for servicing without disturbing system piping, while the top center line discharge configuration aids in self-venting and simplifies piping layouts.
The pump is driven by a 1-1/2 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure and is mounted on a 145 JM frame with feet. It operates at 1750 RPM on a 230-460V/60/3PH power supply using across the line starting. This configuration includes AEGIS shaft grounding and meets NEMA MG1-12.55 premium efficiency standards. The assembly is rated with a PEI of 0.78.
