This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 5" suction connection and a 4" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit consists of a cast iron casing, an 11" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a stainless steel shaft. It incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid and uses a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal assembly features a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250°F. The pump casing includes pressure tappings at the suction and discharge connections, along with flush seal line taps to facilitate the installation of protective filtration.
This pump operates at 1150 RPM and is powered by a 7-1/2 HP TEFC motor. The motor is configured for 230/460V, 60Hz, 3PH power and utilizes a NEMA 254 frame. It features a WEG motor with AEGIS shaft grounding that meets MG1-12.55 standards and is EISA compliant. The unit connects the pump to the motor using a Woods coupler enclosed by a standard coupler guard. The assembly is mounted on a welded base that includes an integrated drip pan. This configuration is rated for a 40°C ambient temperature environment and uses across the line starting.
