This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is covered by a bronze shaft sleeve. For fluid sealing, the unit incorporates a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber components. The pump design operates at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI and does not include a wear ring.
The pump is powered by a 2 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, configured for a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
