This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. A bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft from fluid contact, while the mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components. The hydraulic assembly operates with a dry shaft design, which prevents the circulating fluid from reaching the pump shaft. Pressure tappings are present on both the suction and discharge connections for system monitoring.
The pump utilizes a 10 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor that operates at 3450 RPM and integrates Aegis grounding to protect the electrical assembly, powered by a 380-460V 3PH supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
