This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction and 1-1/2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump construction includes a cast iron casing, a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a bronze wear ring. It utilizes a stainless steel shaft equipped with a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design. The mechanical seal consists of a tungsten carbide seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for clean water temperatures up to 300 °F. The unit includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 5 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure and a NEMA 184T frame. It is configured for a 230-460/60/3 power supply with an Across the Line starting option. The assembly is mounted on a welded base that incorporates a drip pan and a standard Woods coupler protected by a coupler guard. This model includes AEGIS shaft grounding to protect motor bearings. The unit meets MG1-12.55 premium efficiency standards and has a DOE PEI value of 0.85.
