This end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, maintaining a 125 PSI pressure rating. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal prevents fluid bypass at the shaft interface. This pump construction allows for parallel pumping and multi-pump control system integration.
The motor provides 7.5 HP, premium efficiency, TEFC enclosure, 3450 RPM, Aegis grounding, and operates on 380-460V / 3PH power, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.43. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
