This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction and a 1-1/2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit is constructed with a cast iron casing, a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller with a bronze wear ring, and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a dry shaft design to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal assembly consists of a silicon-carbide seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber components, with a temperature rating of 250°F.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is driven by a 5 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure. The motor is a NEMA 184T frame, configured for 230-460V/60Hz/3PH power supply with across the line starting. The assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integral drip pan and includes an OSHA-compliant Woods coupler guard. The motor meets NEMA premium efficiency MG1-12.55 standards and incorporates AEGIS shaft grounding. This pump is rated for a 40°C ambient environment and has a DOE PEI of 0.85.
