This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a dry shaft assembly utilizing a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, which prevents fluid contact with the shaft material. The mechanical seal consists of ceramic and EPT components, rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring. This unit provides a center-line discharge for air venting and incorporates gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections, along with a drain port at the base of the casing.
The pump assembly utilizes a 30 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding and powered by a 380-460V three-phase supply, with a DOE PEI of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
