This end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, which consists of stainless steel protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal assembly utilizes a ceramic seat with EPT rubber components to manage internal pressure up to 125 PSI. Centered discharge connections allow for positive air venting, and the unit integrates gauge ports at both the suction and discharge points to facilitate system monitoring.
The assembly utilizes a 30 HP premium efficiency ODP motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, powered by 380-460V 3PH input, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
