This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate hydraulic performance. The assembly integrates a stainless steel shaft and shaft sleeve within a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A mechanical seal utilizes tungsten carbide and EPT materials for operation at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI. Gauge ports are provided at the suction and discharge connections to allow for system monitoring. This configuration permits service to the mechanical seal and bearing housing without disturbing the existing system piping.
The 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 3450 RPM, utilizes Aegis grounding, and is powered by a 200-230V / 3PH supply. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
