This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction and a 1-1/2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller, a stainless steel shaft, and a bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a mechanical seal comprised of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250°F. The casing includes pressure tappings for suction and discharge connections, and the pump incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft.
The unit operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 3 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure and an 182 T frame. It is configured for a 230-460V, 3PH, 60Hz power supply with an across-the-line starting option. The motor is NEMA premium efficiency compliant per MG1-12.55 and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly is mounted on a welded base with a drip pan, a standard Woods coupler with greasable bearings, and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. This model maintains an ambient operating temperature of 40°C and a PEI value of 0.85.
