This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and an integrally cast bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For pressure containment and sealing, the pump incorporates a mechanical seal assembly with ceramic seating and EPT elastomers, supporting a maximum operating pressure of 125 PSI. This pump includes pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections for system monitoring and is constructed for maintenance without disrupting existing piping.
Power is provided by a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and functions on 380-460V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
